These items are meant to be stored inflated, not deflated. When subject to temperature and humidity changes rubber can suffer elastic property changes and other sorts of deterioration. Storing them inflated prevents this from happening, since it maintains it's appropriate shape.
This is industrial equipment that is prepared for use in water, a relatively cold element. When stored in dry land, temperature changes and drastic pressure changes can deteriorate the rubber. This is why you are meant to storee them at 20 kPa in order to preserve the life span.
When storing, installing, or using your rubber airbag, ensure that the surface area is as flat as possible. Bumps or rocks may cause permanent deformities, which affect it's performance. Rough surfaces may not cause deformities, but might scratch the tires when subject to movement.
Remember to take in mind the change of tides in different seasons of the year. When you guide rope, or guy rope, does not have a sufficient length, your pneumatic fender may be subject to unnecessary pressure, or be located at an inadequate altitude. Adjusting guy rope length will prevent this.

The Sling class is much more delicate and sensitive than the products of the Yokohama style. It does not count with an outer net of chains and tires, which act as a protection barrier. Because of this, all operations are recommended to be followed up closer and more carefully, to avoid damaging or deteriorating your airbag.
Since it doesn't count with the protection gear of tires and external chains, surface has a big impact on the outer rubber layer. Make sure that you have a surface as smooth and flat as you cann, in order to prevent damage such as surface damage, or permanent shape deformities. Monitor the health of your equipment frequently.
Make sure that your equipment is always clean, and free of debris or other forms of marine life. While marine life is not a problem for ships, buoys, or other equipment, the sling type is specially sensitive to it. It is meant to have a direct contact with the ship, objects such as debris can damage the surface when subject to a ship impact.
Make sure that you purchase the correct equipment for your boat or your port facilities. Even if it sounds like a good idea to turn your sling type to a Yokohama style type, you would be taking an unnecessary risk. If there is a problem with it, solely you will be made responsible. We recommend sticking to original equipment.
